I love summer!

This summer has been fabulous!!! One of our highlights was spending the 4th of July with the Readers in San Diego. We just got to totally relax, hang out on the beach everyday and tan and play volleyball! Oh and there was some amazing Mexican food involved too! San Diego is so funny and the weather is amazing! We may need to escape there one more time before fall gets too busy!

Our besties, Robbie & Kensie

Kensie sorta looks like she's trying to be Ursula.

Boogie boarding is NOT my calling in life. It was really fun to try and play around but I took in so much salt water that I had a sore throat for a couple of days!!

The boys boogie boarding

The family I nanny for was in San Diego for the month, so we stopped by to see them, the girls were so surprised! And ya...my eyes are closed but what can ya do!?

I made George take a picture and this is what he gave me!

This pic is from the top of a night hike we did in Mesa. It was seriously like 109 degrees (deathly hot even at night) when we hiked and I told George that I was never, ever going to hike again...we went again about a month later but way up north where it was only like 95 out! It was much better!

More of our summer adventures coming soon!!!

-Fossil Springs

-Spokane

-I change my major...what?

-Oh and the AC in my all black car blows heat!

-Oh and I dropped my phone and shattered the screen today! Big time frowny face!

Carson

My brother Carson is the greatest. If you don't already know why, read this article: http://www.voaspokane.org/CarsonsStory

We were great buds growing up and did everything together. He was and is always so kind, sweet, and funny. Growing up in the Dipo house with the boys was the best! Most of my memories involve hilarious stories and adventures Carson and I would create. We even made a monster movie one time! That movie is for choice viewers only!

My family is the best and I miss them very much. But don't worry, I've got a plan to get them to all move down AZ in the future!!!

Recently...

So, I have to start with the most recent and work backwards...because, I just can't figure out the right way to load my pictures!!!
To start: George shaved his head!!!! AHHH I know! He usually cuts his own hair...and accidentally did part of it too short and didn't have many options. It was either an army style cut or just bic it. Did I mention I was still in Spokane and he was in Mesa when this happened! I barely recognized him when I first saw him!!! Let's face it, he was gonna shave it sooner or later! ;)

We have been going to school and working REALLY hard lately, so George bought a new toy, its a Russian gun. This pic probably looks a bit white trash, but shooting is actually pretty fun. I'm not good at all, but its fun to watch George!!

We flew up to Spokane on Christmas day and got to stay for a little more than a week. It was a great vacation. We had lots of family time and lots of laughs.

This is Duke sitting in 'his' chair and he just looked so funny, I thought I would share it with you.

This is miss Chloe and my mom. We went to Starbucks one morning and every time we tried to take a picture with Chloe she would try and sneak a kiss on the cheek. She is so funny!

December 30th was my parents 33rd anniversary. We went out to dinner at Clinkerdagger and had a fun night!

This is George's first time shoveling snow!!! Ha I laughed every time he would go out to shovel. I think he wore at least 4 layers every time we left the house!

We went snowboarding with Carson and Mercedes for a day and had a blast. We we SO sore the next day!

The week before Christmas we went down to Tuscon and went camping. The weather was great and in the morning we went Spelunking (cave exploring). It was really cool and super scary at the same time. We came out cover in mud, but George has the pics of it on his phone, so I'll post those later because they're fun!

Thanksgiving weekend George's oldest brother, Jared and his family came down for Utah. We had such a fun weekend! These are a few pics from the Mesa Temple Lights. We live less than 10 minutes away from the Temple and it is SO great!

Jared's kids from tallest to shortest ;)
Ethan, Owen, Luke, and Ryan. These are the coolest funniest kids you will ever meet!

2010 was a great year, 2011 is going to be great as well - even busier and better.
I am currently working as an Instructional Aid at a Junior High here in Mesa, I'm in my 2nd block of the teaching program at ASU, nannying and serving in Primary. George is working and schooling it up a ton too and loving his calling in scouts. We don't have a ton of free time, but we are happy and excited for the future!

Today was GREAT

I know its been FOREVER since I written on here...but maybe I'll catch you up soon!
I just had to say, that today was GREAT! I started working at Stapley Junior High as an Instructional Aid in a few special ed classes. I was a bit nervous, because anything brand new is a little scary, but it was so much fun. The kids all have such funny and cute personalities and I think I am going to love being in a classroom with them. I'm going to be working MWF, going to School TTH, and then nannying at night! It is going to be a super busy semester but I couldn't be more excited!!!!
I'll catch you up on the past couple of months someday soon!

1 Whole Year

Cheezy!

George and I have been married one whole year!!! The year was typical, ya know some ups, some downs - but we are so happy and in love. George is the greatest in almost every way and I love him very much!

For our anniversary we drove up to Flagstaff and got a hotel and then drove up to the Grand Canyon. September 25th (our anniversary) also happens to be Public Lands Day and so we got in for free! We just may have to find other fun national parks to go to on our anniversary because its free! =)

Anyways, the morning we left I made George take '1 year' pictures with me. He was thrilled, not really but he's a good sport! Our drive north was uneventful but fun, we like road trips and mostly just being together. The day we were at the canyon was beautiful, we can't wait to go back and do some hiking!

Man, I always forget to put my pictures on before I write, sorry whatever you get it anyway.

CHEEEEESY

So this is super dorky and cheesy but it was fun and will probably be entertaining to you!

I had to write a little poem for one of my classes and this is what I wrote!

There once was a girl with the name of a bird,
Who happened to know George Alvin Bock III.
He asked her out on a Friday night date.
Her reply was YES! But please, not too late.

The boy was tall, handsome and ever so sweet,
The girl so shy, she hardly made a tweet.
As time passed the two fell madly in love.
Pure in love like white feathers of a dove.

This girl was the happiest she'd ever been,
This boy made her feel goose bumps over her skin.
Thank goodness for George Alvin Bock III.
That he loves a girl with the name of a byrd.

Last Weekend

Last week was ridiculously busy!
I'll just give you the big details. We got on a flight at 7 am Friday morning to Seattle for Morgan and Jenny's Wedding!!! Their venue was absolutely gorgeous. It was fun to be with the whole family and get all dressed up! They were sealed Saturday morning at 8am in the Seattle LDS Temple. Afterwords they had a big ring ceremony with walking down the aisle and everything. Saturday night George and I got together with Gina & Kyle, Elisha & Jon, and Sam!!! We had so much fun! I really miss my Seattle friends!

Me and my Momma!

The start of our own little photo shoot while we were waiting for things to start!

Being silly

The gorgeous view

This picture was at the rehearsal the afternoon before the wedding. It was cloudy, but when it came time for the ring ceremony it cleared up and looked amazing!

This is us at the airport waiting to board Friday morning. We had gotten about 4 hours of sleep that night and the night before, we were exhausted and looked funny because we couldn't open our eyes very big =)
It was great to see my family and be in some cooler weather for a bit. Yep, high of 97 today and it will be warmer over the weekend!!!
Chances are, if you live in Washington, I'm missing you!!!!
